Oregon Wine Country: Willamette Valley

One of the best days we have had was this Saturday. It was spur of the moment when we decided to drive down to the Willamette Valley to do some wine tastings. This is why I love Oregon...we have Portland, the coast, the mountains, the gorge, and top it off with a glass of wine! Maybe I should be an Oregon tourism spokesperson? That's a thought for another day.

They were all equally beautiful as delicious! Try them! :)

Catching Up: Momma Bear comes to visit

Whew...I guess I can't rename this post with my last one, Time Flies. But it sure does! I started a new job a little over a month ago and it has taken over my life. Like most jobs do, I assume. I'm almost caught up, but working for a federal program I've learned, you never truly catch up because they are always changing. However, I do love what Head Start offers to kids and families so I am happy to be a part of that!

In past news...my MOM came to visit in early October! I was so happy. I talk to her daily and it's such a joy when she actually gets to see and live my life here, instead of just hear about it. It was her first time to the West Coast and I like to think she loved it. Naturally, I was sick while she was here. Agh. So we did not get to make it to the coast, unfortuneately. But we did make our rounds around the city, neighborhood, and the gorge!

Colunbia Gorge...it was GORGEOUS

Largest bookstore in America...and my hometown! Shoutout to Powell!

This is the part where Mom made me pose throughout her visit to take a picture of me....

Go Ducks! Unless they play the Vols...
Seriously we had the BEST time! This was probably the longest we have gone without seeing each other, close to 3 months. It was a sweet reunion! Can't wait til Christmas to see the rest of my family! :)
